WHERE IT STARTED
A directory that didn't exist — so we built one.
In 2008, I packed my bags and moved to Seoul, South Korea — a foreigner in a country where almost everything was built for Korean speakers. I needed a directory. Somewhere I could find a restaurant that felt familiar, a church, a community, a starting point in a city that didn't know me yet. I searched everywhere. Nothing existed for people like me.
That gap never left me. When I returned to Nigeria, the idea followed me home. For 18 years it lived quietly in my head — persistent, patient — waiting for the moment I'd finally be bold enough to act on it.
That moment came. Today, I present the Naijanized Directory App — the most comprehensive Nigerian business directory app in the country. What began as one foreigner's frustration on the streets of Seoul became Nigeria's most trusted digital directory. This is Naijanized.
Eighteen years of an idea finally met one decision. That decision became The Naijanized Network.

How we handle your information.

Naijanized operates four platforms — Directory, Dating, News, and Jobs — under one network. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected across all of them.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect basic profile details such as your name, email address, and the information you choose to add to your profile or business listing. On Dating, this may include photos and preferences you provide directly. On Directory, business owners provide details needed to verify and display a listing.
How we use it
We use your information to operate the platform you're using — showing your listing to nearby users, matching you with relevant profiles, displaying jobs suited to your background, or surfacing news relevant to your interests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Sharing across the network
Each platform is built to stand on its own. A Dating profile is not shown on Directory, and a Jobs application is not visible on News. If you hold an account across multiple Naijanized platforms, we may use shared account details — like your verified email — to keep your sign-in consistent across the network, never to merge unrelated activity into a single public profile.
Your choices
- You can review, update, or delete your profile information at any time from your account settings.
- You can request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- You can close your account, which removes your public profile and listing from the relevant platform.
Security
Your data is stored using secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Listings and accounts go through a verification step before certain actions — like claiming a business — are enabled, to keep the network trustworthy for everyone using it.
Children
Naijanized's platforms are intended for users 18 and older, particularly Dating. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We'll update this page when our practices change, and note the date at the top so you always know when it was last revised.

TERMS OF SERVICE
The ground rules for the network.

These terms apply to Naijanized.com and all platforms in the Naijanized network — Directory, Dating, News, and Jobs. By creating an account or using any of these platforms, you agree to the terms below.
Using the network
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on any Naijanized platform. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
Accounts and verification
Some actions — claiming a business listing on Directory, posting a job on Jobs — require a verification step. We reserve the right to request supporting information to confirm a claim, and to remove a listing or post if it can't be verified.
Content and conduct
You agree not to post content that is false, harassing, discriminatory, or that misrepresents a business, job, or person. Reviews on Directory must reflect a genuine experience. Profiles on Dating must represent a real person. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this standard.
Business listings and claims
Directory listings may be created from publicly available information before a business claims them. A business owner can claim and verify their own listing, after which they control the details shown and can respond to reviews.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
Disclaimers
Naijanized provides a platform for connection — between users, businesses, employers, and readers. We don't guarantee the accuracy of every listing, profile, or job post, though verification and review systems are in place to keep quality high across the network.
Limitation of liability
Naijanized is not liable for disputes, transactions, or interactions that occur between users, businesses, or employers connected through the network.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Naijanized operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
